No Touch Local Aviation Weather on your Wrist!

Now available for the Apple Watch. I designed this app family for my own use but my flying buddies wanted it too. Something simple. No map scrolling, typing or tap tap tapping! Perfect for local flying like a $100 hamburger run or a spot of Acro.

The other electronic flight bag Apps are very powerful, but also very general purpose. You have to click and type or drag and tap your finger to get a weather report. But hey! Your Series 3 watch knows exactly where you are and this app gives you exactly what you want without any extra work.

Tap the app and you get the latest METAR reports, sorted by Distance for a radius of 30 nm with the color coded flight conditions and the age of the report. This is Easy Aviation Weather!

Tap the Nearest Station button, or any of the tabled reports and you will get a clear, legible, English translation of the METAR.Full translation of METAR

These reports come straight from the National Weather Service and reports are updated every few minutes. Drag down on the Table of reports and the app will pull a fresh update from the NWS server.

This app is self contained in your watch. It doesn’t need the phone to be close by. The App does requires an Wifi or Cell internet connection to the watch in order to fetch the METARs. The GPS inside the watch also needs a clear view of the sky to get a fix.
